Inclement Weather Policy for Consultants and Employees

Inclement weather can cause transportation problems or locally hazardous conditions.

Personal safety is an important consideration when evaluating the ability to commute to work during severe weather. If for some reason you are unable to report or will be late due to severe weather or treacherous road conditions, you are obligated to notify your immediate supervisor or manager at least one hour in advance of your report time. Failure to notify a supervisor or manager could result in disciplinary action. If weather conditions prevent an employee from working as scheduled, leave taken will be charged to vacation leave, personal time, accrued compensatory time, or leave without pay if you have not accrued personal or vacation time.
