*Define, develop, test, install, and maintain new software applications in support of business needs.
*Analyze and correct software errors in a timely and accurate fashion.
*Research and document requirements of software users.
*Develop and maintain user and systems documentation.
*Train end users to operate new or modified applications.
*Assist other IT staff as needed.

Requirements for this position include:
*Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.
*Knowledge/experience developing software utilizing Computer Associates 2E 4GL in an AS/400 environment.
*Ability to handle entire projects, lead projects/project teams, and/or be a supporting member of a project team; as the situation demands.
*Experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, problems, and/or usability issues.
*Experience developing test cases and test plans.
*Working knowledge of general business practices with consideration given for those with knowledge of steel mill operations.
*Available to work irregular hours and on call as needed.
*At least 4 years experience in a software development capacity.
